Ski
Queenstown is within easy driving distance of 6 ski fields, all with great facilities and mixed terrain, as well as several locally based heliski/board companies if you want to venture out into the back country for something more challenging. At the end of the day, when your legs are sore and tired, contact us and arrange to have an in-room massage. Our experienced therapists can ease those aches and pains and have you ready to ski/ride the next day.
Golf
Golf is a year round sport in Queenstown, so during winter you can ski in the morning and play a round of golf in the afternoon. There are 5 golf courses
Millbrook,
Kelvin Heights,
Frankton,
Arrowtown and the new Jacks point all within a 20 minute drive of downtown Queenstown. The privately owned Hills Course will hold the 2008
New Zealand Golf Open in November. All in all, there is a lot of challenging golf to be played while you are on holiday in the region. If you are feeling a little tired or have a few twinges that need ironing out, our therapists can travel to where-ever you are staying in Queenstown and tailor a massage to suit your needs. We can also set up an area for pre & post event massage onsite at the golf course for corporate groups and golf tournaments.
Walk
Hiking, tramping, walking - whatever you want to call it, there is a lot of it to be done in the Lakes District area: from a short walk around the edge of Lake Wakatipu , to a full-pack adventure over the Southern Alps . The
Department of Conservation maintains all trails and huts in the National Parks, and operates the premier Great Walks such as the Milford and Routeburn Tracks. They can also help you out with trail maps and local short walk information. There are a number of companies offering
guided walks for all levels of fitness. Before you leave on your walk, you should
book a massage in advance. Our therapists will work the knots out of your back and legs when you get back to civilization.
